Many of the problems we deal with are caused by bad connections. A connection allows energy to flow from one location to another. A blockage that stops that energy flow, no matter what the cause is, can stop the whole machine. Someone once said that our connections are rocks among the quicksand. We need healthy and solid connections to move. Movement is necessary for energy. It is the movement of the electrons in a circuit that creates power. That circuit operates because there is voltage, which gives the force, current, which is the movement of electrons, and resistance, which is like friction that causes heat. Those three factors demonstrate the laws of physics. The voltage can be represented by any driving force. Current is what happens when the force is applied and resistance is the opposition that gives us something to push against. A bad connection along the way stops the process. The cell phone commercial is constantly asking ,”Can you hear me now?” The principle is that without the connection the conversation will not happen. A weak connection will cause a half-conversation (which can be dangerous) , and a good connection allows the healthy transfer of information. God is inviting us to connect with Him.
What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear,
What a privilege to carry,
Everything to God in Prayer.
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry,
Everything to God in prayer.
