A symphony of frogs

For many years the men of the church have gathered on Monday nights for a Bible study and fellowship. It has come to be one of the really special relaxing nights of the week. I am blessed to be surrounded by people who have a desire to be flexible in how to teach and learn. This time of year we start to get restless in the classroom and migrate outside for some object lessons. Last night was one of those nights as we mowed and trimmed the park area behind the youth center at church, then as men tend to do, we started the campfire, roasted some hot dogs, shared testimonies of our day. We found object lessons that fit the night. I found myself watching the fire, listening to the frogs by the creek and just being grateful to God for relaxation.

A Psalm I read yesterday:

Psalm 48:1 How great is the LORD, how deserving of praise, in the city of our God, which sits on his holy mountain! 2 It is high and magnificent; the whole earth rejoices to see it! Mount Zion, the holy mountain, is the city of the great King!

A Psalm I read this morning:

Psalm 50:1 The LORD, the Mighty One, is God, and he has spoken; he has summoned all humanity from where the sun rises to where it sets.
Praise God !

A Psalm that I will read tomorrow:

Psalm 56:10 I praise God for what he has promised; Yes, I praise the LORD for what he has promised.
