We are a moment, He is forever

I am currently reading the book, “Leadership Challenge”. One of the great lines I read this morning:

“Leaders have a sense of direction and a purpose beyond the present moment.”

Certainly one of the key things to learn in life is that there is more going on around us than we are aware of. The tendency for mankind is to see ourselves as the center if the universe. If we are on the throne and God is somewhere on the outside, we are not living the way we were designed to live. God needs to be on the throne and in the center of our lives. We need to be, by His grace, serving Him. People who see God as their servant, end up missing the point of why they are here. “In Him we live and move and have our being”. Taking God for granted creates a shallow faith and relegates us to the wading pool when God’s desire is for us to launch into the deep.

Comparatively speaking: “We are a moment, He is forever”
