Jammin'

It was a great evening last night as we had the 5th annual JAM ( Jesus, Auction, and Music ) event along with the soup cook off as a fundraiser for "Speed the Light", a youth missions outreach. The soup quality has really risen to a new level of excellence and there was plenty for everyone to have their fill along with all the trimmings and desserts. The music was awesome with the sounds of guitars, mandolin, accordian, keyboard and bass along with voices ringing out in the east half of the Fellowship Hall. I am feeling very thankful and honored to be a pastoring this family of people that is focused on the basics of faith as well as able to have fun together.

Yesterday was also the day where we participated in the annual "Life Chain", a silent prayer gathering with people from many different denominations standing along the side of the road holding signs asking that abortion would be stopped.

Saturday night we participated in the Outreach in a neighboring town which is a benefit for the nursing home there.

It is wonderful to have the energy to be involved in worthy causes.
