Kingdom purposes

I like the concept of redeeming everything we do for Kingdom purposes. That means that there is not secular only spiritual. Bill Johnson writes that things are either a legitimate Kingdom expression or we shouldn't be involved in them at all. As a pastor, I am constantly reminding the congregation that they are all in the ministry but not all stand behind church pulpits. Your pulpit today may be your area of expertise and favor in the world system. To quote an old saying, "Be sure to preach only the good news, and when necessary use words". The Bible tells us we are part of the "royal priesthood" that needs to be equipped to do the work of the ministry. Each of us will experience a range of situations, relationships, emotions and interactions today that we must face with courage and awareness. Don't miss a single second. Redeem the time for Kingdom value.
