Extraordinary stuff

Today would be a good day to get extraordinary things done. I was reading early this morning in chapter 6 of the Gospel of Mark. The disciples were involved with high levels of activity with Jesus. Many healings and other miracles were a common thing everywhere they went. When Jesus would get in the boat to get to a quieter place, the crowds would run ahead and be there waiting for Him. He was recognized everywhere. Following the way Jesus reacted to all this is a great lesson in the connection of actions with values. We know that “where our treasure is there will our heart be also.” We also know that “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” Our own mouths tell others what our values really are. Those we are ministering to today need to connect our voice to our touch. In the same way, we need to be listening to the voice of God as He touches our lives. When He climbs into our boat and the storm abates, I have freedom and peace. When I am connected to God like that, I am ready to tackle those extraordinary things.
