Avenues of service

One of the hats I wear is that of a member of the school board. Today is election day and it will be decided whether I will serve another four years in that position. I am running unopposed in this election so as long as some people get out and vote and there are no major write in candidates that step forward I should be re-elected. The five years that I have been on this board have been wonderfully enlightening and I have experienced first hand about how the education system works. I origianlly ran because I am a believer in life-long learning and I wanted to be a part of the system that establishes that in the lives of our young people. I count it a major privilege to serve and would encourage anyone considering it to run.
