I usually post my blogs early in the morning. I have always been an early morning person. I love experiencing the sunrise, a good cup of coffee, and the feeling that by 8 am I have at least one good work already completed for the day. Early morning is usually my quietest time of the day where I do my best thinking and personal vision casting. I try to not turn on the TV or get into other distractions until I have spent some time reading God's word, prayed ( at least at some level ) and written my blog entry which serves as a journal. I feel that time spent meditating quietly is time well spent.
I have good friend who is legally blind. He and I visit occasionally about what impact that has on his life. I am always amazed at his attitude about it. He misses his sight immensely but he is one of the most optimistic people I know. The other day I asked him if he sees clearly in his dreams. He immediately responded,
“Oh Yes!, I love to dream because I can see even things far away.” He said that he has developed the art of dreaming to allow him to appreciate the clarity of sight consciously while he is dreaming. He is a man well into his 80's with deep faith in God and he is blessed accordingly.
Bobb Biehl wrote about dreaming and said this:
“There are many forms of energy in the universe ... solar energy, caloric energy, caffeine energy, nuclear energy, even social energy. But the most powerful form of energy from a human’s perspective is DREAM ENERGY.
With a dream, days seem short. Without a dream, days drag by.”
The human spirit is capable of wonderful and complex things.. Take a look at your dreams and launch out by letting them give perspective. I am not one of those who say every dream has deep meaning and should be a cause for life change. Sometimes our dreams are a result of the spicy pizza we ate before going to sleep. I am saying, however, that we should pay attention to our dreams because they can give a wonderful perspective. The ability to dream is the ability to see.
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt within the heart."
