It's My Serve

At the heart of a successful tennis match or volleyball match is the serve. If we serve well we will find the victory will be ours. The word servant is one that indicates working in the direction of someone else. It is something that God elevates. John Maxwell calls it the universal language for all who have passed beneath the cross of Christ. It shows up well over a thousand times in the sixty-six books of the Bible. The following quote from Albert Schweitzer says it well:

“I don’t know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know; The only ones among you who will be happy are those who have sought and found how to serve.”

I need to be sure I am adding serving to my job description today.
