The Dare

It was a significant evening last night as a group of us gathered at the church and watched the movie, “Fireproof”. I believe we all came away from there with a new level of desire for our marriages to be what God designed them to be. At one point in the movie the statement is made “Marriage isn't fireproof.” To which his father responds: “Fireproof doesn't mean the fire will never come. It means when the fire comes that you will be able to withstand it.” The movie is powerful and inspiring. With God’s help, the “Love Dare” devotional book is something that will find its way into the hands of struggling people that God puts in my path. Every situation in life can teach us something about the nature of God, who loves us unconditionally and gives us the tools to guide us. I am thankful for many friends who laughed and cried with us through the movie last night. I am honored to be officiating a restatement of vows wedding ceremony this weekend (Valentines Day) for a young couple who are wanting to fireproof their marriage.
