Forever Young

I read this morning that the patterns we establish early in life, whether good or bad, will impact our future decisions. Our choices direct the lives we lead, so early, good choices are important. The lesson was from the book of Daniel in the Bible. He told the truth even when it was risky and he lived the truth even when it was unpopular. His choices impressed those around him who were making decisions that he would have to live with. I wonder sometimes if I am still establishing patterns or if life in my upper 50's is regulated by patterns I set early in life. Since I still feel young, I have decided to keep establishing patterns. "Renewing my mind" so to speak. After all, in the light of eternity, I am still very, very young.
